John Ford
Founder
John founded Insight Investments in 1987 and now serves as Founder and Chairman of the Board. As the architect of Insight’s culture and core operating principles, he provides strategic guidance and mentorship to the leadership team while helping shape the company’s long-term vision.
John’s leadership philosophy reflects a Judeo-Christian ethic and a principled management approach that supports the professional growth of employees while fostering long term partnerships with customers and vendors. His ability to identify emerging technology trends early has helped Insight maintain the flexibility and balance needed to adapt, grow, and achieve consistent financial performance.
With a passion for developing talented and motivated people, John has built a dynamic and rewarding company culture. Insight Investments is a respectful, supportive, and challenging environment where employees are encouraged to take initiative and contribute innovative ideas.
Prior to founding Insight Investments, John held sales, operations, and management roles with companies ranging from venture backed startups to Fortune 50 global technology corporations.
John holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an MBA from Arizona State University. He is married with four children, two stepchildren, and four grandchildren.
Christopher M. Czaja
President & CEO
Chris Czaja serves as President & CEO of Insight Investments, where he provides overall strategic and financial leadership, guiding the firm’s continued growth and profitability. Since joining the company in 2008, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Insight’s long-term vision and ensuring its success in a competitive marketplace.
With more than 30 years of experience in finance and equipment leasing, Chris brings a wealth of expertise in both operational and financial management. Prior to Insight, he held leadership roles in commercial banking as Vice President and later served as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at Relational Funding.
His deep industry knowledge and proven leadership continue to drive Insight’s mission of delivering value, innovation, and sustainable growth for clients and partners.
Scott Sullivan
Chief Revenue Officer
Scott Sullivan brings more than 25 years of sales and executive management experience, growing and scaling both independent and bank finance companies. As CRO, he is responsible for operational leadership and growth strategy for the Insight businesses.
Prior to Insight, he spent 13 years with Key Equipment Finance, a division of Key Bank, where he held several roles of increasing responsibly; most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Platform Leader of their $1.2B technology finance division.
Scott’s career in the technology financing world started with GE Capital where he spent 8 years in regional and national sales management roles. Scott also spent two years at American Express Business Finance where he launched their office products, technology, and communications financing groups.
Scott is a graduate of Drake University where he was also captain of the football team.
Sheryn Murray
Chief Operating Officer
Sheryn Murray is the Chief Operating Officer of Insight Investments, responsible for driving the company’s operational strategy and overseeing its core business functions, including human resources, leasing operations, credit and receivables, IT infrastructure, and marketing. Since joining Insight in 2016, she has been instrumental in building scalable processes and operational discipline that underpin the company’s success and sustained growth.
Her background includes senior leadership roles in both financial services and enterprise software at Universal Music Group and Sage Software, where she led cross-functional teams through periods of transformation and expansion.
Sheryn is recognized for her commitment to operational excellence, collaborative leadership, and aligning teams around measurable outcomes. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, live music, and reading, and cherishes time with her husband and their dogs.
Robert Kolek
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer of Insight Investments since March 2025, Robert Kolek leads financial strategy, overseeing accounting, reporting, planning, analysis, treasury, and tax. With over 20 years in leasing and equipment finance, he has managed multibillion-dollar portfolios and driven strategic initiatives at leading firms, including Relational, LLC, Engs Commercial Finance, and Mitsubishi HC Capital America. His expertise strengthens Insight Investments’ ability to deliver innovative leasing solutions.
Rob began his career in public accounting over 30 years ago. He holds a BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University, an MBA in Finance from DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and is a registered CPA. At Insight Investments, Robert is driving financial excellence to fuel the company’s growth and deliver value to clients and partners. Outside of work, Rob enjoys golfing, staying active, and relaxing with his wife and two kids—ideally somewhere warm and sunny. A fun fact: Rob is a die-hard Cubs fan despite growing up in a house full of White Sox supporters.
Allan Umans
General Counsel
Allan Umans serves as General Counsel at Insight Investments, where he oversees all corporate and day-to-day legal matters of the company. He is also a member of the executive leadership team at Harbor Capital, Insight’s material handling vertical, where he helps guide the growth and strategy of the business. With more than three decades of experience in equipment finance, Allan was named one of the 25 Most Influential Leasing Attorneys by Leasing News in 2016 and has served as Chairman of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association’s Legal Committee.
Before joining Harbor Capital, Allan was Vice President and General Counsel at Pacific Rim Capital, Inc., an independent lessor of material handling equipment. There, he managed the legal department while also leading credit, syndications, funding, and human resources.
Allan is married to his wife, Susan, and is a proud father to two sons: Jacob, an MD/PhD student at Johns Hopkins University, and Jonah, a sales executive at Homes.com. Outside of work, he enjoys playing pickleball and spending time by the beach.
Dave Evans
VP Advanced Consulting
Dave has 25+ applying information technology solutions to solve business problems. He has held leadership positions in Media and Entertainment and Technology Systems Integration verticals. He has architected diverse infrastructure solutions from SAP to Media Asset Management systems across numerous technologies. He is a strong advocate of providing the optimum solution agnostically. Each experience is unique.
During his tenor at General Electric Dave was nominated and participated in their Executive Leadership program which included a period working for GE Healthcare R&D division. This experience resulted in Dave being Six Sigma and Lean Sigma trained which he incorporates into his current role. His business passions include strategy development, metrics driving business decisions and building diverse teams. Outside of work Dave is a tortured Newcastle United fan.
Michelle Rauso
VP of Operations
As Vice President of Operations for Red8, Michelle is responsible for customer and partner contracts and programs. She manages an expert team that combined, has more than 25 years of operations experience at Red8. Prior to joining Insight Investments and Red8, Michelle worked for an international technology company where she managed the equipment transportation logistics throughout Europe, Asia and Australia. In her spare time Michelle love to travel and learn new cultures.
Rob Cotter
Senior Vice President of Product Innovation and IT Solutions Architecture
As Red8’s Senior Vice President of Product Innovation and IT Solutions Architecture, Rob is responsible for Red8’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the company’s technology development. An IT industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Rob is a seasoned executive focused on driving the development of the company through the use of technological resources. Prior to joining Red8 in 2006, Rob held systems engineering roles at Sun Microsystems and Network Appliance. Earlier he worked in the aerospace industry where he was responsible for the open systems infrastructure for business and engineering applications. Rob began his IT career developing software for school systems and universities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
